ChipperJones: Hey new Sprint GSIII owner here and im stoked. But when i picked up my gsiii from radio shack (50 bucks off) they came with white earbuds, now am i wrong or is that a sign of isheeplE? either way i lost the pair that came with it, and looking for the same pair (they are pretty comfy and sound ok) but im not sure of the exact model number. I found these samsung earbuds and am unsure, of course they don't know either. Are they what im looking for? Anyone with a pair near by want to compare and contrast for me?

I've got a blue one from 2degrees, white earbuds as well and I thought it might be a mistake but I don't use them anyway I've got my awesome Sony MW1.

A word of advice, be careful around these "To good to be true" deals around. I have lost my SGS original headphones, so I have purchased one of Ebay that looks exactly the same in the photos and the sellers says "genuine" in CAPS , but did turned out to be a pretty damn close replica (the mic and controls are in the wrong side ;) and rubber was stiffer, also sound is deeper), and while they work just fine, I have confronted the seller and got a full refund.

motorwayne: SAMSUNG REMOVING GOOGLE INTERNAL SEARCH WITH LATEST INTERNATIONAL OTA

Anyone seen this....bit of a dilemma.

http://tinyurl.com/cka6zal

No dilemma at all - Samsung have admitted it was a mistake to remove this on non-US phones and a fix is coming.

Now that the dilemma is over, I have another curly one.

Now when I make an appointment in S Planner with the time zone set to Auckland, and then sync with Gcal, if I go to edit the appointment I get two time zones.

Auckland
10:00AM - 11:00AM, 1 August

UTC
10:00PM - 11:00PM, 31 July

Just started doing this not long ago...any ideas?

Cheers

Interesting thanks, I use Widgetsoid for much the same thing but will check this out (on face value based on the Market description it looks a bit more limited than Widgetsoid. They brought the brightness slider in the status bar back with a recent update too :)

FIXED : Some how the setting in my "Meeting" calendar (I have like 10 cals) in Gcal had changed to GMT instead of NZ time. Just reset it for that particular cal and all fine...weird how only that one was affected.

Strange, but thanks for posting your solution, no doubt will help others at some point.

EDIT: Just looked at the dev for the notification bar app above, lots of their other apps look they are just kanged portions of the functionality of Titanium Backup (even right down to the look of the icons!). Think I will stay with Widgetsoid, even though that apps looks quite nicely designed.

They use parts from a Palm Pre. Official support is supposed to be coming, but who knows when.

I posted about my experience with this a couple of pages back. I have it working but don't use it often as I use a case which makes locating the phone on the charger a little hard. I certainly works though.

Where are you sliding because I can't get it to work on my stock S3 but used it all the time on my S2?

I reset my CSC to BTU and installed this rom, it definitely feels better than the current VFNZ rom and the brightness slider works well in practice

Logic says this CSC will be the first to see official JB so seems like a logical path to follow :P
