Yep they are R/W, I got 10 for about $10US and work fine. One thing I want to do but cant is have NFC run when Airplane mode is selected. Airplane mode kills all the radios obviously including NFC so you have to enable it manually each time.

What is the plug that goes on the bottom of the S3?

Is it a special one from Samsung only

Nope - it's a completely standard micro USB connector.

Found out a strange thing with the S3.

I normally set my SSID on my Wifi to Not Visible.
To set up the S3, I set it to Visible.
Connect and put in password and off she goes.

Then I set the SSID to Not Visible
Next time I turn on the S3, cannot find network.

Trick is to set SSID to not visible and what ever security feature you need
Manually create a connection to my wifi, ie type in SSID and password etc
It will connect and will be ok after that.

Does anybody in Auckland have a SIM cutter that I can use for a sec ?
Or do you know of a shop that will cut for me
I need to cut up a UK SIM to fit into the S3

Hi, I just noticed that fur/lint stuff was getting caught in the edge of my S3 and upon a closer inspection found that there is a gap between the screen and bezel on the left side(where the lint was getting caught) and on the bottom.  The gap is big enough to fit a piece of paper in whereas on the right side it is a tight fit(no gap).

Just wondering if any others had this problem/annoyance? Surprised

I know this sounds pathetic but I also noticed what looks like a dust particle under the screen Embarassed.  Do you guys reckon the gap on the edge allowed the dust to get in there and would there be anyway to get rid of this gap (maybe slightly squeezing itSurprised

The fluff/dust makes it look quite tacky haha
