motorwayne: Oh for goodness sake already, when is jellybean coming to the S3?
IntegerIsNumber:motorwayne: Oh for goodness sake already, when is jellybean coming to the S3?
From rumours I believe that it is sometimes end of this Month or September. If Samsung can deliver the update by this month then Samsung would get lots of Kudo from the customers and will help generate more sales and I will be a loyal customer for many years to come.

You're kidding right? If a company deliver one SW update for one device by an arbitrary timeframe you'll be loyal for years?
That doesn't seem to make sense to me.

These updates are a deep person thing and it is a man's inalienable right to commit his loyalty however he sees fit. :-)
To be sure, to be sure.

Kopkiwi: Am I right in saying that a Vodafone branded s3 is going to be a long wait for JB?
Kopkiwi: Yeah haven't rooted my device yet. Not sure I can be bothered, having set everything up nicely and I get sick to death of re downloading 100+ apps, I wish Google would sort their sht and allow batch downloading for apps you've previously downloaded.

Rooting doesnt wipe your phone, so all your apps stay. However once you root you can download Titanium from the Play Store and then next time you do wipe you can indeed do a batch reload of your apps.
Having said that I agree the Play Store is a pain in that it wont let you do a batch reload, or remove old apps you dont use anymore.

Hmm, so rooting changes nothing? It doesn't restore the phone to factory settings?
