k14: Wow this just gets better! Thanks Huawei. Might have to take the morning off on Tuesday to wait for my 6p at home :)

I had the delivery address changed to my place of work. Looks like my productivity is going to be impacted :)

I also got mine sent to work. Probably will not get it till Wednesday though due to being south island.

I'm guessing that by current version of chromecast they mean gen 1?

That's my take on it too, like gaming consoles, people forget that next gen becomes current when you are able to buy one, so the "current" becomes last gen.

Is the gen 2 for sale in NZ yet. I saw PBTech had a small amount of them.

It's the same chipset as gen1 but supports 5GHz WiFi doesn't it?.

Would like one of those Ethernet adaptors though, why aren't they selling those!?

It's so great to have a supplier/retailer actually take part in these forums and respond to issues in a relatively prompt manner. In so many places, it's just deafening silence on the other end. I'd like to congratulate @2degreesCare for their responsiveness and sensitivity to this bunch of customers who are just about climbing the wall in anticipation. I guess they just get it...

2degreesCare: Hi everyone,

And finally, to make up for the issues over the last couple of days, Huawei have agreed to send a free Chromecast (current model) out with each Nexus 6P 64GB Graphite from Monday, and with the 128GB Graphite when that comes in.

Wow. Fantastic offer. Thanks again to all of the organisers.

Wow, I was just thinking of getting a Chromecast when I found out that Spotify now supports it.  This just keeps getting better.

Just want to confirm - if my mate uses the code for the 64GB device, it won't stop me from using the code for the 128GB device, yeah? My mate wants a new phone, but I want one more.

Anything I say is the ramblings of an ill informed, opinionated so-and-so, and not representative of any of my past, present or future employers, and is also probably best disregarded.

It is slightly sad that somebody has used this exclusive offer from Geekzone to make a quick $50 or so...

http://www.trademe.co.nz/mobile-phones/mobile-phones/huawei/auction-973461786.htm

I guess they are well within their rights to, but somebody who actually wanted the phone could of used the code.

I guess people could do whatever they wanted to but I dont think I will be handing @netsujit any other opportunity like this in the future.

That is not the spirit of the promotion and simply shows disrespect to others in the community.

It is something arranged for Geekzone users to enjoy, not for them to turn around and profit straight away. Not happy about it, and it makes it harder later on to arrange other deals like this.

Yeah so I really don't like people like this spoiling these offers. From the rest of us who aren't ungrateful, little sh*ts --> thank you very much.
