I have read a bit on here about SD cards and was wondering if those from places such as PB Tech which seem so much cheaper than else where are that much poorer in quality?

they most likely are but I've used them on all my phones with no issues and currently running a 32gb and still no issues. You get what you pay for, as they say, but I have no problems using them as I don't have anything on there that isn't backed up.

I think this has been mentioned earlier in this thead but it's so much win… Apple sues over pinch-to-zoom and rectangle-with-rounded-corners - childishly obvious ideas that would take two seconds to think up and should never have been granted a patent due to the requirement of being “non obvious”, Samsung sues over actual technological innovation that takes years of research.

Multi-touch, icons shaping and slide to unlock should be FRAND as well.

It is what required in touch screen devices now a day. So it is a a common things and should no be patentable.

All of that is heavily discussed here:

I might be a bit slow and my apologies if this has already been mentioned.

To take a screen shot with an un-rooted SGSIII

In the 'System settings' menu click 'Motion' and scroll down to 'Hand motion' and tick the 'Palm swipe to capture' check box.

All done and it works a treat. To palm swipe you actually need to hold your hand on it's edge and swipe from left to right (or vice versa) and you will hear the camera capture sound. The picture is a png and appears in the sdcard Pictures/Screenshots folder.

Its already been announced elsewhere

So its just wait and watch for us, depending on where we got our phones from so our telcos will release their approved version when they can.. I am guessing we should get something by late October or early november

Hi Guys,

Do you recommend S3 vs Iphone 5 ? I guess S3. Surprisingly I was of the impression that S3 is 2GB Ram but just found out that only US model is 2 GB Ram, rest all are 1 GB.

Cheers

Considering this is the S3 thread I think the answer will be yes.

Re the RAM, the US version is dual core 2G Ram, the international is quad core 1G Ram.

Hi there

Would you recommend to buy it from Parallel import like Pb tech or fairbuy ? I am bit scared of buying from parallel import due to their warranty policy.

Cheers

I bought my s2 from Expert Infotech (parallel import). It worked just fine. And in the worst case scenario if it did break down, I knew where I had to take it back to... So buying from a parallel import is not bad.. but buy from a well reknown parallel import retailer..

I would have to say I just switched to JB DI5 release and I am happy. Early days, but feels smoother I guess.
