Anyone got any youshop discount codes? Found some inthe youshop thread (youshopbf1 and kiwibank10) but both of them have expired.

HellraiserNZ: If you have family or friends in the U.S. I would reckon it is waaaaaaaay cheaper if you send it through USPS priority flat rate boxes. I know a phone is an investment and it costs quite a bit but I have had numerous parcels, that had all sorts of stuff -> Computer parts (GPU, CPU, SSD, Motherboard (without its box) RAM), foodstuff, clothes, bulk costco stuff and more. Everything got through in about 4-5 days and sometimes even within 3. Average shipping price is about $40-$50 and my family would just put gifts, books etc. on the customs label. Nothing was damaged, nothing was opened and nothing was missing.

Just letting you guys know what I do most regularly throughout the year. Its risky but it has tracking pretty much all the way to your door.

If you friend lives in a sales tax free state like Oregon, then that's great. My daughter lives in LA and so she would get hit with the 9% sales tax plus shipping. Then you still have to pay local customs because while your stuff has never been opened, I suspect most of it, does not exceed the customs limit while the N5 certainly does. Under-declare it and you could lose it.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

Really? From what I'd read, the worst risk of under-declaring is that they say "no actually it's $XXX, pay us the rest".

Exactly, so those people who complains...if they were given a DSLR, i'd bet you they'd produce a subpar pic as well.

The camera module in this phone is EXTREMELY capable.

Heck some people have managed to produce hq pics with the Nexus 3.

Woah, my N5 was just marked as shipped by youshop, it seems they do work on weekends. Expected delivery 21st November, not too bad, hopefully that's including an estimate of customs processing.

EDIT: * Expected delivery date excludes New Zealand Customs clearance.

D'oh.

When it says "4G" on the signal bar...is that basically LTE ?  or is it DC-HSPA+ ?

Is there anyway the nexus can be set to DC-HSPA manually ?

No way you can get 146Mbps DL and 46Mbps UL on a 3G dual carrier site that has a max speed of just under 43Mbps DL and 5.7Mbps UL

Yes you can set the Nexus and almost all other other 4G handsets to 3G only

I know the Hauraki corner site is CAT4 4G / LTE site
