Can you post a speed test result?

Here you go

Takapuna, Hauraki Corner this evening just after 8

Thanks, makes my home VDSL connection look slow!

Fingers crossed mobile data becomes affordable one day :-)

Hmm, according to this forum, the voltages in the US (110) are not compatible with NZ ones.

So can we use the adaptor that comes with the NX5 directly (by just bending the metals) or not ? I don't wanna blow up my nexus lol.

You should never bend the pins on an AC adapter. That's just asking to get hurt. Just re-use an existing AC USB charger or buy one (They are cheap anyway)

What? No.  Check it when it arrives, but pretty much every single mobile phone AC adapter is dual voltage (110/240V). You will just need a pin/travel adaptor to convert the US-style plug to a NZ socket.

How would you get hurt? You don't do it when it is plugged in. I have done it on many a plug. If you use some common sense and are careful it is fine. Some may not have enough flex to get it to sit in the socket though so then using a us-nz adapter or buying a nz one is the only option.

When I spoke with 2Degrees on their Facebook page they confirmed it would be unlocked, "like all 2Degrees handsets are".

Because they are cheaper, because it costs more to carry 2 SKUs, you'll need to buy from a parallel importer instead of 2D / LG

I pre-ordered one from them for NZD739 plus NZD30 delivery. I see that they are advertising them at NZD764.
I'll let you know how things go.

But so far they are really friendly and customer support really responsive :)
