Just install CM10, you will have a better, faster experience. It's a pretty simple process, so if you have flashed a mobile before you will have no trouble, but I'm sure you can follow instructions.

That's an unofficial supported device for cm, so things like camera doesn't work that will kill a lot of interests. There are some leaked 4.0 to be there but again this will void the warranty.
Waiting to official 4.0 will be a good choice, after a year, just put on anything that's good to go with
ticallista: To get the ICS update, I understand you don't need a Telecom SIM in it. But what else do I need to do apart from having internet connection? Which other parts do I need to leave on sync?
