rhysb:
You can use the JVC app to control a hidden head unit.

I've seen that but looking at all the 1 star reviews of the app doesn't look good.

Are head decks in nz still being supplies with the stupid bare wire loom in the box? The last job I got came with iso plugs on the loom so just plugged straight into the car loom.

Yes. But its a simple change to just plug in a new ISO plug.
Last time I bought I had to buy a Pioneer ---> ISO and a ISO ----> Toyota.

Plenty on ebay

All the parallel import songs I have bought had the right loom in the box but the one time I bought non PI, I had to go spend another $20 on a useful loom.

Outrageous price but what else can you do really.

JVc seem to have the right loom in the box of all I have bought. Makes the brand decision easy.

Thanks all for your input!
I bought the Pioneer MVH-X365BT and am pretty happy with it!
Cheers
