The most interesting thing out of it that I noticed was a move back to a native 4:3 sensor rather than 16:9 that pretty much everybody had moved to.

IP68 dust/water resistance.
25% increase in battery
Tweaked camera specs
Micro SD for additional (but not adoptive) storage.
The reports I have seen only talk about the US launch models which are 32GB. I will be interested to see what is announced here.

Nothing yet that will make me upgrade from my S6.

Wondering the same thing  on how people  can still afford to buy these flag ship models..   Bought a Meizu Note 2 for the wife the other week for $286 at PB Tech.  Way cheaper that the Samsung Note 5..

Fixed two of my biggest gripes with the S6 - small battery and no SD slot. Still has dreaded touchwiz and disappointing to see micro-USB remain. Otherwise, looks pretty good - esp. in silver.

Watching the LG G5 live stream as I type. Looks the better device over the S7 ... but unlikely to come to Vodafone, so looks like it will be S7 for me.

If you're into VR (with the Samsung Gear VR) then more storage is pretty important. There are a lot of games and VR apps - some of them are over 400MB...and even with the 64GB SGS6 it's not hard to run out of space if you also take a lot of photos / video with the phone and a few hundred songs you like to listen too and maybe a movie or two for Chromecasting. Having another 128GB in the phone for the photos and videos would be worth paying for......184GB in total.

After watching the release I think the S7 Edge will be the phone to convert me back to Android from my iPhone 6+

Very happy to see IP68 rating + mSD card back on the phones. Besides that, the camera also will be very exciting to have a look at.

Removable battery isnt a deal breaker - fast charging seems to be a viable replacement.

Overall, seems to be 7-8/10 on the phone.

I've never come to love the edge screen. It looks fantastic for app browsing, but distorts photos and video across the curved edges.

My current Z2 is on the limit of pocketability for me, so think I will be opting for the S7.

Any news on NZ release date?

The new camera is only risk area. Until tested, no way of knowing how it will stack up.
