gzt: If that were true I would never close apps.. ; ).

You should never close apps. Google have said this, if you search for it you'll find it. I'm on phone so bit difficult.

Batman: Never close apps.

And hang on ... if Facebook needs >2gb of RAM they need to fire their app developer!

The Facebook app is a complete resource hog

The Facebook app on my phone needs 98 - 130MB of RAM for basic browsing around. It might use more for things like image uploads.

i don't see why it needs to have so much RAM. even most killer games don't use 1gb of RAM, only hundreds of MB usually. (acc to youtube tests)

timmmay:

After reading plenty of reviews, and seeing what mattered most to my wife, I ordered the 32GB storage / 2GB RAM model from Amazon.com. Reviews all say 2GB is fine, and Android 8 which it should get very soon / immediately is meant to be reduce RAM usage.

Thanks for all the thoughts and input, it was appreciated :)

Looking forward to 8.x to see how it goes, I'm still sitting on 1 Dec sec update - G5S.
