Aren't the Samsung S7 Edge and Nokia 6 both 5.5" screens?

5.5" may have been a substantial screen back when the Samsung was released, but it's not big compared to other phones now, and is the same size as the Nokia 6 so no advantage there. But you also have a phone that's already over two years old, from a brand that's not known for its regular updates to Android. So, for less money, you can get a current-gen phone with guaranteed updates... Seems a no-brainer to me!

You can also get the 7 Plus for only a few bucks over $500 when on special, so that could be another option (much nicer in the hand than the 6).

Yeah both have big screens which is why I was looking at them. S7 has more RAM, better screen and camera, waterproofing and wireless charging above what the Nokia 6.1 has, even though it's a couple of years old. The 7 Plus looks OK but probably more than she needs. Leaning towards the 6.1 given the price differential.

RyanDre:

I bought 2 x Xiaomi Mi A1's last year in from china, think each cost me then around $350. Great battery life, would buy another. And as above I see Mi A2 is out now (not sure what changes there are.) No issues really having USB-C, just buy a spare cable or two to keep in the car or house, and generally if you go somewhere overnight and forget teh cable you likely still have heaps of charge left, I would get couple of days average use if I needed to.

Did you have any issues with GST/Customs?
