Yep. You can start as many threads as you like, especially if they are generalised threads. It aint nobody elses business why you did or what you do for a living. The second thing is its healthy to discuss different phones if that is an interest of yours, which it is mine, just like notebooks and hunting and spearfishing. So I ask about products on those things. Or I ask which is is better if Im buying one, or maybe I didnt buy either of something. It is not in the forum rules and its my right to ask questions on which items are better. And a lot of the time its generally for friends or family.

End of story.

something you say when you think that the opinion you have just expressed about something is correct and that there is no other way of thinking about it

First, it is fortunate that a social medium like Geekzone provides opportunities for interaction which are beyond your control. Those of us who have invested in helping, or at least trying to help, you with your queries deserve some consideration too.

Second, the end of story I'd like to hear is the one that has already been requested:

1eStar:

The usual courtesy is to advise by post which final choice you made and purchased. Then mark it as the answer. This adds value to the threads. Maybe rather than starting a new thread today, you could go though your old threads and let us know which 10+ phones you've bought in the last couple of years. There's a few moderators who +1'd my post who could help you out with unlocking the older threads.

Give it a rest, yeah write Im going to hold each and post made that they have found the answer and then posted. There is some realism to accounted for here. Its called a DISCUSSION forum. Nobody owes anybody anything for their opinion.

Also these are discussions, opinions, not facts and as such I have the right to keep my opinion that I conclude to myself. Id like to see that as a rule implemented, post every factual opinion you have made on every thread you have created, or dont create one etc.

Its not Wiki.

Sure but others are free to ask why you have so many phone threads. I'm not sure why you're making such a big deal about the question, you could have answered it pretty easily and moved on.

Being sarcastic and rude just makes the discussion go on.

Of course people can, and I explained, I have used a number, recommended a number and queried a number.

Im not being rude or sarcastic, Im just stating my right isnt to end every thread with an opinion. Im human, I forget threads or maybe the answer isnt in my opinion.

And just because I said I dont owe anyone anything, doesnt mean Im not thankful to other posters, especially moderators, it can be a tough gig. But Im not the one breaking the rules is what I was alluding too.

I think you are all jumping on things set off by other peoples statements........

Anyway I am thanful to the people who actually tried to help. its sooooo far off topic now.

What I came up with for those that do care for the impossible "answer" suggestion, is at this point I couldnt go with a 7.1 until I handled one, but going off the plus, if it feels that quality and the camera is improved, for under $500 thats what Id go with. The aly body plus a good camera is what a lot of users really need. It does have a low ppi screen so I feel thats a bit oversized and could have saved more juice at 5.5 or 5.8". But it looks classy and does the basics well. Android one is a double edged sword, in which you dont get to customise things like say for example the camera like the google + HDK. But you get updates often.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 much the same, havnt handled one yet, but I dont like the lenses sticking out, its plastic I think but it looks pretty good for the money. It may save $100~ over the nokia. Ive seen its camera comparison to the s9 etc and its really good. Every good phone uses larger pixels now and both the phones do. Both phones are Android 1.

The S7 non edge can be had for a touch over $400, which really puts things in perspective with what you are getting. But I think 8.0 might be its last update?

But for me, Id be too tempted by the style and grace of the Nokia.

Oh wow sorry it is HDR10 compliant. I wonder how good it compares to other LCD HDR like the LG G6. Cant really compare to the S9 given its price and Super AMOLED higher PPI and HDR, but its nowhere near the price either. I didnt realise the back is glass as well and their is no water/dust proofing, but Ive rarely needed it, just need a bit more care I think. The mi a2 may make the better camera phone, but Im only going off its reviews and gsmarena's comments https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7z1QOp35VA

Regardless, I think the 7.1 would make the ideal small business roll out, given android 1 and Nokia quality and yay for non curved edges on a phone !

There's a lot of opinion contained in this thread, very little discussion. If you're worried about transgression of FUG rules then I suggest you look up what a soapbox thread is, as you'll find its against the rules.

Really what everyone is dying to know is simply what phone you have right now.

You can just make it up if you want.
