I've just now got my pixel 5 in my got hands. This thing is tiny compared to my Oneplus 7T Pro McLaren edition! Don't know if I'm going to be able to handle the drop in screen size 🤣😂🤣
I'll set it up tonight and see how it goes.

So my 3rd shipping date (15th Dec) has come and gone with no word from Dick Smith.
For those who actually got a dispatch from DS, what date did you originally place your orders? I thought I was pretty early with mine on 15th Oct, and it's meant to be first in first served, so wondering how far down the line I am.

Oh my i placed an order on DS and read this https://i.stuff.co.nz/business/123831716/customers-cry-foul-after-waiting-months-for-items-from-dick-smith. Has anyone received their order from them recently?

I placed the order for my Pixel 5 on the 15th of October from Dick Smith and it arrived on the 18th of December.  So far I'm really liking my new Pixel!

An item I ordered with $40 worth of vouchers came much more promptly.

So I've now cancelled that and went the eBay route, due to be shipped from the 6th of Jan

I ordered from Dick Smith too and after many delays I eventually cancelled and got a refund.

I ended up ordering from ebay Australia.  It arrived in about 4 days.  I'm loving the Pixel 5 so far.

And you don't mind not having VoLTE or HD voice?

I paid NZ $1110 including gst/shipping for my Pixel 5 off eBay. Was the AU model, so came with headphones and the correct charger. Took a while to get used to the size (coming from a Oneplus 7T pro McLaren edition) but after a few days it feels "normal" again and I'm loving the stock Android and the awesome photos!

About $1200 all up after import duty get etc

More than I would normally spend on a phone but it suits my needs more than most.

The battery life is great on the Pixel 5 however I just disabled 5G and now the battery life is utterly amazing.

I'm ending today with 4 hours screen on time and still 50% batteryb remaining.
