I don't like the new camera housing - especially the silver colour variants, they just look cheap compared to the S20.

I do like the idea of a polycarbonate back - 50% less glass to break and a lighter phone.

Don't know about cheap but certainly fugly. It's totally personal taste of course but I hate the way it looks.

scoobydoo:

Finally!

The S-Pen is available to the S range of phones. But currently only available to be used by the S21 Ultra?

Hopefully it's not a hardware issue, and just a software update available to the S21 / S21+ range down the line.

That's what will make me do the switch from my Note back to the S range

It's probably a good thing as the rumours are that the note is going away.

I do like that the S21 and S21+ have flat screens. I have never really been a fan of the “edge” displays on the S series and the only screens I have ever suffered damage to have been the edge displays. But up until now it has been “Hobson’s Choice”, if you wanted an S you had to accept the edge screen.

For my use case I’m not sure the S21 offers enough over an A series phone any more.

Some reasonable deals from Samsung with trade in, free ear buds, free screen replacement, finance offers etc.

I’m content with my iPhone 11 Pro just now but the Fold 3 might tempt me.

Couldn't disagree more, the camera housing on the S21 looks FAR nicer than the S20 range. Especially the black variant with the color matched housing.

Could anybody please post the pricing for the different models under the Samsung education discount? I haven't received my .edu address yet from my institution but am interested in what the discounts are.

Cheers.

Agree re black, its the silver coloured housing that I think looks cheap. The housing also looks like hard plastic which puts me off, but in the flesh it may be different. My last Samsung was the S10e, I wouldn't swap it for the 21.
I think this phone will be discounted heavily in coming months, so probably a good buy from a specs vs price perspective.

Thats a given. Every Samsung S or Note release for the last 5-6 years has been massively discounted months after launch. Funny it coincides with Samsung losing market share year after year as well.

They are all 30% discounts. S21 is $980 I think.

they have space for 2 Physical SIM's, but if you use eSIM will only support one of the physical SIM's.
