stevenz: Is the Navigon navigation app still on the device SGS2? It tends to have more detailed maps than Google and the built-in TTS sounds really good (on my Tab anyway)


I don't think the Navigon app was ever intended for NZ Galaxy users - it's only visible on the Market if your phone's spoofing an Oz carrier code (505xx) so unless you buy your SGS2 from Oz, you'll need to spoof your carrier again with MarketEnabler.

Hmm, good point.  I suspect that Navigon was included in the original UK firmware that mine came with, which I promptly over-wrote with a custom one.  My devices are permanently locked to thinking they're on Telstra in Australia so I get access to a few more apps, including Navigon which works wonderfully.

I guess it'd be no chore to repeat the same process.
