thejessjess: I solved my issues by following all the little tips in this discussion and now my battery lasts all day, and I use it ALL the time, tweeting, foursquaring, texting and calling, as well as the odd game of Angry Birds and browsing the internet.
Juice Defender is really good, also turning off GPS, turning down the screen brightness and only having wif-fi on when you're using it helps.

Generally known online as OpenMedia, now working for Red Hat APAC as a Technology Evangelist and Portfolio Architect. Still playing with MythTV and digital media on the side.

So, been using Juice Defender and Juice Plotter over the last few days.
Tuesday - got down to 30% by 6pm. Was connected to Wi-Fi at work on and off and sent a few text messages. Home at 11pm, charge at 12am
Wednesday - disconnect from charge at 7am, used music functions and camera while on a road trip to Invercargill for work. Down to 20% by the time I got home at 7pm. Charge at 11pm
Thursday - normal day at the office with not much use, but battery empty at 9.30pm (last few hours connected to the home Wi-Fi but doing nothing has ramped up the usage.
