It does however retail for atleast $600 so you are definitely paying for that build quality but ICS is a big draw. Do you think i can get one for about $400 from trademe theres one listed right now?

Well as usual, phone prices in NZ are a ripoff - you can get a brand new unlocked Desire Z from eBay (US) for just $280 NZD! Anyways, if you want one soon, the one TradeMe looks good - $300, closes on sunday, still has warranty.. It's worth it IMHO and you have a good chance of winning it too, since very few people prefer a phone with a keyboard. :)

Nokia have a new Asha 300 I think it's called. Candybar styles with traditional number pad (so not qwerty) and a resistive touch screen. Maybe that fits a bill for someone? Maybe....

If we are going to mention the Nokia Asha 300, then perhaps the Asha 303 with physical QUERTY might be a better option within that sub $400 price range.

Whoops, sorry I didn't' see that one.

Personally I'd opt for an Android option if I went down this route. Not sure if the 303 is resistive or not like the 300 etc.

I'm pretty seriously considering this one:

The other cheap option being the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini pro...?

Ugh, keep hearing back things about the LG Optimus phones.. have you looked at the Xperia Pro? (The new one, not the X10 or mini pro)

Feel free to explain more.....
I have an LG P500 and personally I find it very good, for the price.

No I'm looking for around $200, and that appears to be $350?
Actually it looks like only computer shops are selling the sony slide phones, is that right?
