johnr: Looks like Jellybean is out for VFNZ purchased handsets
johnr: Looks like someone has a S3 for another market DOH
gkjb: Not seeing any update either from a stock standard VF S3
mattwnz: Anyone know how/when we will get jellybean update for unlocked samsung s3's? The one I have got was purchased from DSE, so is not a parallel imported, nor is it tied to any network, although I am using it on vodafones network. SO I pressume the update is supposed to come directly from samsung, but there are no updates available for it. Updates are so much easier to understand with apple products.

I didn't realise they were parallel imports as they weren't advertised as such. They were on;y advertised as 'unlocked' I thought there were laws that required them to advertise if that goods are parallel imported or not, as you don't get the same consumer protection as the local supplier in NZ may not support them, eg if the retailer ever went under
