I was using wanamlite and it went great then just running slower and slower, tried all the usual tricks but couldn't resolve... Long story short loaded the 4.1.2 leak straight over top and everything was better than ever, thoroughly recommend the 4.1.2 leak it is well worth it

Hi guys. Going back to my problem a couple of pages back of my PC not seeing the files in the folders. I just tried it on another laptop which somebody suggested and still the same problem. My Files > sdcard0 (Which is the internal memory) > Movies > Ice age continental drift. The movie plays absolutley fine no problems. However when I go into the movie folder on my pc and also this current laptop there is nothing in there. I only have 750MB free on my inbuilt memory now.

What to do...?

Edit: Just realised it is now happening with external SD card aswell. I put two movie trailers on my external card on Thursday, and they arent showing up in the folder on my PC. But they are there on the phone and I can play them all good.

Is it a major problem? if you need to delete files, just delete them from the phone, and then you can manage file movement after.

I'll try my phone to see if it hides files when connected to the pc.

Did you try SDRescan like I suggested when you first posted? It worked for me.

I tried crDroid 7.2 for a few days, I liked the customization in the AROMA install script - but it was quite laggy in scrolling compared to Omega 33.2. It also seemed a bit more battery hungry too.

Sometimes the lag was about half a second - as in, I'd flick a scrollable area (like the app drawer) and half a second later it'd actually move. Might be quarter of a second... Anyway, small as it may seem, it was very distracting. If your car brake was lagged half a second you'd be in big trouble. Anyone else get this lag?

They keyboard (I installed swiftkey latest full version, as it is best for my fast but dodgy typing lol) also lagged, but only by a small amount.

This is after not only an full wipe but also a format of /system.

I've installed omega 33.3, and scrolling is definitely smoother and faster. Instant response. All seems a bit faster actually.

I also briefly tried wanam, which I have used previously also, but It was a bit bloated. Might give it another go though.

Any other recommendations? I like Omega, but I didn't buy a android super phone to NOT play with it. I'd have gotten an iPhone if I wanted that lol.

I'd try the AOSP etc roms, but aren't they still battery hogs or missing important features?

well thats interesting as I found the reverse hence moving from 33.2 to crdriod. I use Nova prime and have no lag issues and battery is better on crdroid for the way I use it. I have left custom kernels alone for a while which one are you using. I did see that the latest siyah was quite good.

I tried Super nexus, paranoid android, but too many issues. Android revolution was ok may go back to that later.

Quite like the some of the samsung quirks so not really interested in CM10 and others at the moment but may later on.

I am using Wanam 4.1.2 and overall it seems to run fine. One or two slight glitches (ie couldnt back out of Chrome using the return button) early on but for reason they have sorted themselves. I have noticed that issues seem to come right after a day or so and a couple of reboots, maybe its to do with apps updating? Same with battery, that improves after a few recharges.

One other thing I do, if the glitches continue I have found a wipe of the cache and reload the ROM usually sorts it.

This may have been brought up but I am trying to use Tasker to trip the car dock mode. Only problem is I use a data cable plugged into a usb cigarette adaptor which is not detecting it as a dock.

Withouth buying a dedicated S3 car dock would a standard cigarette plug to micros usb work instead of the data cable?
