Looking to buy note 9 with the new tradein offer, is pbtech the best deal out there for buying it outright with pxc 550 (128gb variant)?

The best deal is buying it from pb tech and using the 2 degrees mro finance to get the additional $200 off. You can then pay the phone off and close your 2 degrees account the next day if you choose. Not sure what bundles all the other retailers see offering but 550s are a good pair of headphones.

Heh, so then you're just paying the $41 for the first month of the plan through 2degrees and $29 upfront meaning you'll come away with the phone for $1540 is that right?

You are correct. Your have to ring 2 degrees to get them to make all the mro charges apply to the current months bill. I think they pro rate the $40 plan so suspect you won't have to pay the whole $40 of you cancel straight away.

If you then go and trade in an A grade Galaxy s8 the phone will cost you $500 and you get free headphones. That's not that bad for a fancy phone.

The 2 degrees offer looks like a great deal, although I suspect they might think twice before offering similar in future if too many punters do above. Offered by 2 Degrees in good faith; it's a sad indictment that the good faith is not being reciprocated by the purchaser. My 2 cents worth.

If it's any consolation i paid then $10 a month for 13 months for the trade up option that i didn't use because the Samsung trade in boost was a better offer so i don't think the 2 degrees executives will need to go to the salvation army in order to feed their families.

It's not really a discount, it's just bringing a crazy expensive phone closer to it's real price.

Had to smile and shake my head at the email I received from Samsung spruiking the Note 9. It compared the Note to my S8, showed a picture of an S7 beside the Note, and claimed the S8 didn't have an infinity display in the comparison table.

Samsung don't know the difference between their models. Or is someone in marketing too busy playing Fortnite to fact check.

One report does not make an issue.

It will be investigated. Keep calm and carry on.

I love my Note 9. The battery life is awesome and the unlock is awesome too.

Smart facial and retina scan combo. It's super quick. Also the finger print reader is better placed.

For those interested, new bixby update now allows you to change the physical key map to only open app when you press twice!

Can you change it to another app like the camera? I don't use Bixby, never will most likely. Would rather use anything else. Screenshot button even :)

cannot change to anything else as yet (unless you use the button mapper apps and run some script - xda has a rundown on how to). I don't use bixby either but found the single tap made it too easy to accidentally activate, this alleviates that at least.
