Does doing a factory reset help with poor battery performance or will I be wasting my time? I have power saving activated, GPS, mobile data, bluetooth, multi window all tuned off and I am unable to last a day on a full charge, eg yesterday i took my phone off the charger at 9am and by 12.30 it was at 60%. The Handset is the 16GB version and is approx 8 months old and is using the latest OS version.

Android System 21%

Idle 14%
Standby 12%

Screen timeout is set to 15 seconds and brightness at about 1/3rd

You guys on stock ROMs or custom? I use Wanamlite ROM and easily get 24 hours, I have bluetooth, wifi, GPS etc always on, my screen is usually about 45% of total usage and that is set to about 40% brightness, not auto.

Hi guys
Just wondering if anyone having similar problems, since last week or so am unable to side load apps!
When I click on apk file I get permission list as usual but install button is not active! I can only touch cancel button.
After several reboots and repeated attempts it works again for few installs.

well i telegistics should be getting my 16gb GS3 tomorrow morning, it's 12 months n 2 weeks since i purchased it, rooted it two weeks later, been awesome until it started running like a hog and randomly resetting etc.

Finally wouldn't turn off friday arvo, pulled battery out, back in, turn on and load screen shows up and stays there, I stopped checking at 25 - 30 mins.

Wont boot into recovery etc, wont show up red LED charging light when plugged into USB cord supplied etc.

As I got a NL supercover warranty for 5 years (cost me $16) I did an online claim, now I am starting to wish I had not been upfront and forth coming with fact that a)I rooted it (still running stock OS though) b)it was dropped from knee height when it was 3 months old c)a crack around the grey bezel trim developed by itself, as did a few others (which I have seen a decent amount of reports for online)

I stated on the online form that it should be assessed as a hardware fault as a software issue is unlikely etc.

I ring telegistics to confirm what they need with it, they say that I need to take it into a telecom store, i state that I bought it from NL, they say again, take it to a telecom store, i repeat myself, they say: "take it to a NL store, you cannot send it to us yourself" despite the email stating I can.

I take it to NL store, they insist on a booking fee, i tell them to get f'ed, after arguing they agree to send it, I tell the lady that I noticed the hanging and freezing issues after the update in feb, but explain that it froze etc friday just gone and that they need to put that on their form.

I get a copy of their form they sent with it, it says "custy did a software update and now it doesnt work".. not helpful..

I can see me having a fight trying to get this repaired, as I suspect telegistics is going to declare it a void warranty situation.

Has anyone had any issues with telegistics before regarding them insisting that it is a void warranty, but later on after pressing the issue, getting it fixed under warranty?

it doesn't help posting same thing in 2 threads. I think you may have an uphill battle on your hands but good luck.
