Nop, I've been waiting for news since the last leak of 4.2.2 but until now there is no news regarding it. So my guess is September? Samsung is probably busy at work trying to get the Note 3 out at the moment and S4 updates. Probably already forgotten about our S3. Not going to buy Samsung phone without Google Edition. Hopefully next year S5 will have Google Edition as well.

Mine did that for the first time last week. It's been increasing in frequency ever since. The phone sometimes won't wake until I do a reset, and then its sluggish. Two random reboots today.

I'm currently in a "go to Samsung/go to the store" loop, made more complicated because I bought at Norman Ross which is closed, but was owned by Harvey Norman. Harvey Norman don't seem to want to know. It's become even more complicated now because the time spent arguing has eaten up the last of my warranty.

The biggest problem with these issues is that they are so random. Try convincing retailers that there is a problem when the problem can't be demonstrated. Every time I've shown it to someone else the blasted phone behaves beautifully!

I got mine fixed a couple of months ago. Make some noise with your carrier on twitter and keep at them. It's a known fault and it should be fixed.

mine slightly different issue, display takes a good 3-4 seconds to wake up for incoming calls ! i literally have to wait for screen to on so that i can answer. very annoying especially at work ,people think why i am looking at phone and not answering it.

BTW its only issue with calls, power/home button wake up screen normally!

anyone seen similar issue ? would be great if you know fix. thanks.

Okay here is why for flashing blue/green/red:

Software glitch. Sometimes from third party apps you installed on the phone. Not sure which app causes this but to fix it is to reformat the phone to factory default.

And as for slow wake up:
It is a slow down of the firmware. Software became fragmented over time and need to start fresh again. So factory reset will fix it but it will happen again sometimes in the future. Try not to installing too much apps.

Could also be a sign that the NAND is dying and the phone is going to suffer SDS - spontaneous rebooting is one of the more obvious signs of this.

The blue flashing still occurs on my handset every now and then but haven't had any random reboots since the last update.
Although I do a reboot myself every few days.

I have got another 26days left on my warranty and I hate to think if my phone dies on me after that...

I would just go back to my faithful S2 which went back in its box last year and has been resting since..

What's the known fault? The flash of blue? Not much of a fault, is it? Or is it really something I should be worrying about?

It is just software glitch. Nothing to worry about. App like Skype or cover caused my phone to get blue/green sometimes.

Had a random reboot while using viber today..

If viber had stopped working.. fair enough.. but a random reboot...!!! that was wierd.. coz its the first random reboot since the last official update..

fingers crossed if it has to die, it better dies within the next 2 weeks coz my handset warranty expires after that...

I'm more worried about my home button became sinking in deeper every time i pressing it. Also one side is higher than the other. Right now is the same level as my screen and the buttons (volume and power) is now became so sensitive as well.

only the manufacturers warranty which doesn't contract out of the Consumer Guarantee's act which states it should last a reasonable amount of time. You are covered.

If you have latest update its most likely not SDS, random reboots happen for a variety of reasons
