Android 4.0.4 update for Telecom One X (2.17.781.3) has finally arrived! 3 dot menu bar begone.
Happy now, until, of course, the official jellybean update that is. In tech one can never be satisfied for long.....

20 minutes to be exact. Just been reading the One X+ announcement. 64Gb, stepped up Tegra 3 AND A BIGGER BATTERY. Shame they didn't think to shoehorn 2100 mAh into the original HOX. And 64Gb for that matter.
HOX+ to be launched with jellybean and Sense 4+.

bit of a jip really this One X+ .... I think they should have some kind of trade in scheme for people like us that have paid good money for this new One X+ prototype (the HTC One X).... so much for "a new Hero" plan where they will only release one phone and stand by it.... so much for customer loyalty

and all this is released while my phone is away for 3-4 weeks being "fixed" for faulty hardware.....

Sorry for the "rant" post but not impressed, what are everyone else views on the issue?

I think if you want the best phone possible, you will end up never buying one. Be happy with what you have, its an awesome phone. What do you want HTC to do, stop progressing after you buy a phone?

My telecom one just got 4.0.4 as well, telecom seem to be catching up. Which is nice!

The only one I can find is for 1.26.781.2 - which is older, I need at least 1.29.781.14.

Won't let you load an older RUU - something to do with the hboot I think. Reckon I'll just try and get back to my original backup and then try and figure out why the latest Telecom OTA won't load - it's on the phone just won't install. As it stands it would be easy for them to tell I'd messed with the software and give them an excuse to blame the unresponsive screen on that.

I haven't tried reflashing an RUU, do you need the boot.img for them?

Managed to get back to Stock ROM, but can't OTA the latest Telecom update - I'm as far as I going to get without screwing it up totally. I want to return it for a unresponsive section of the screen - but just ran another safemode test and all seems OK for now......

So team,

After two weeks of waiting, my phone came back from Auckland..... they have told me the motherboard is lose and that this was a manufacturing fault.

So my phone is now being sent back to its origin so be inspected and replaced, this means a further 4-6 weeks without my phone

This is the first time (of the 4 I have parallel imported) that I have had any warranty issues with a phone.

Has anyone else had or seen anything about this on any forums?

P.S I buy my phones off Ezigadget.co.nz they have always been very competitive on price and have so far been good with my warranty and they have even lent me an S2 yesterday while the phone is returned to HTC.

Quite good service really. At least the loaner is an S2 and not some crappy old Nokia. Don't forget to factory reset it before you return it.

So the official OTA jellybean (android 4.1.1 and sense 4+) from HTC has begun its rollout, starting with Taiwan and Singapore. Version 3.14.XXX.X and while I know it has been out in test builds for a while it should start appearing on EU sourced handsets here shortly.
For those of us on branded ROMs, goodness knows. Hopefully before Christmas.
