The Maxx manages it, at only a couple of mm thicker than regular smart phones. I just think the Maxx is ugly, and I want Android 4.0 with a 4.1 upgrade path.

But that phone is mediocre at best... ;-p

See, i leave wifi on (i work in a spray booth.. No wifi here), i leave gps on, i have my phone on auto brightness, i use it all the time. If i did this with any phone available atm, I'd get the same result!

My last "dumb" phone was a t610.
I got used to charging at night with an Apache... Once you're used to it, it's no big deal!

I think the S3 with wireless charging is going to be your best bet for avoiding the rigors of plugging a phone in to charge.
It's currently a case of making your own charging coil and buying a charging pad that will work with it (think Palm Pre/pixi for harvesting parts.) or just wait for the Official Samsung wireless charging kit which is supposed to be due around September.

Nah I'll just wait for the next Nexus or the S3, and hope it has a larger battery. If I can't get a decent battery in a nice looking phone then I'll just get a cradle. I wouldn't bother putting a fat charging mat onto a slim phone.

Handle9: It'll sync every app that's in your itunes library, regardless of the account associated with it. You may have the PITA that is resyncing music etc but you keep your apps. When you check sync apps you'll see all of them are available to sync over - not sure if you loose save games or not, might be worth checking on google.

A quick update on this... I let iTunes do what it wanted, it merged the apps from both accounts and now everything runs well on my old iPod, NZ and US apps. So for now i'll stick with the old phone, the iPod, and the Android tablet.

When I first got Android I didn't like multitasking, now I'm used to Android I really don't like only doing one thing at a time. It's simpler though, which is probably a good for Apple users ;)
