mrgsm021: If the rumours of the SIV having LTE are true, then great timing on Vodafone launching 4G, assuming the compatible frequency.

The S3 i9305 supports Dual carrier & LTE so why not the S4?

Exactly, becoming too important a differentiator for consumers for Samsung to leave out of their flagship.

NZtechfreak:

Also, will it be plastic construction again, or something new from Samsung?

Maybe handcrafted Walnut for the UK market :)

Samsung have intimated that it will still have plastic back but the sides maybe aluminium, actually used to the plastic now.

I don't really care about an aluminium housing and all that jazz, is it really that important?

I would like to see a phone that makes me want to sell my S3 immediately, if it's a bit ho-hum, then I'll just keep on trucking with the S3 and keep an eye on the others, the only phone I like so far is the HTC One. The Sony Z screen looks terrible at a slight angle.

I really hope the screen is OMLED HD too.

An aluminum casing would be a nice touch, when I had my S3 I had no issue with the plastic casing despite it receiving its fair share of criticism but in hindsight it didn't have the same level of feel a, s its competitors, aluminum would definitely fix the touchy feely issue

Mines been in an otterbox since I got it, I guess if I wasn't worried about damage and scratching, aluminium would "feel" nicer.
But really, it's not really a biggie, IMO.

Eye tracking on the S4? The thought of that is a bit creepy for some reason. http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/news/samsung-galaxy-s4-details-leaked-8522265.html

Smart stay does not work in low level light very well or at all, so neither would the eye tracking I guess.

There are 2 things making me consider swapping from HTC to Samsung. Battery life and that smart stay feature!

I recall some features of S3 were appealing but never used them like smart stay as they seem to hog battery life so i'm not getting carried away with software stuff its the hardware i'm interested in.

The eye scrolling thing is all well and good but I thought the smart stay feature on my S3 was going to be great but don't really use it as it's not very reliable. Any similar feature on the S4 has no real draw to me at all regardless of the hype. What's putting me off the S4 at the moment is the claim it's going to be bigger than the S3, which in my mind is about the biggest I can comfortably carry and use one handed. I have no desire for anything larger.

I want a solid device with a good battery so it's really the HTC One vs the S4 (once I know what it actually is). It's going to be an exciting few months in my household with phone swaps galore methinks.

The 'turn the screen off when you look away' feature always annoyed me & got turned off straight away..
Lets see how this one goes.

If Samsung go the cheap plastic construction again, I won't be getting it. Have put up with it for a year now because it's been the best on the market but with Sony and HTC releasing great phones recently and the Motorola Google X hopefully living up to the rumors I won't be buying the crap build of Samsung if it isn't improved.

Wow that's a pretty strong reaction. I use my phone all the time, and I don't see a single sign of wear or tear on it anywhere.

One thing I'd be keen to now is if anyone knows if the burn in issue with the s3 is warranty?
