So @freitasm do the failings that the Huawei has, combined with their (sofar) lacklustre support make you less likely to recommend a Huawei phone at this stage?

Got a Mate 10 Pro a few days ago and it's been spectacular so far (upgraded from a Nexus 5x).

Battery life is ridiculous. Got just under 7h SoT my first time around. And the charger will get you from 0% to 60% in half an hour - crazy when you realise it's a 4000mah battery.

Camera is not the best but still very good. I do appreciate the manual controls but am missing Google's HDR processing.

EMUI is okay, I put on Nova launcher and the only thing I notice is the notification tray, where the fonts are too big and the quick toggles aren't cohesive. The only EMUI feature I use is the knuckle screenshot feature. Haven't bothered with Huawei's services since Google already does everything I need.

All in all I'm really pleased.

So after bitching about the lack of update (unless I jailbreak) for the 8 I Stupidly picked up the 10 in store to have  a look and somehow walked out of the store owning one undecided

Anyone one after a mint condition 8 cheap? cool

Humour aside they have made a real nice phone even nicer and if I dont leap now looks like the 10 in my preferred 16:9 ratio will be very hard to find.

Hi All Huawei Mate 10 people...

hey just wondering, do you guys have any issues with the calendar event being duplicated?

I am using my google calendar, use the phone calendar app, whenever i made adjustment on my Google Calendar (computer), then on my phone will have the existing events that is supposed to be deleted and the new one showing together...

I also tried use the Google Calendar app, it is showing the same too.

Your feedback will be much appreciated

Jacky

When you create a Gmail account in the app it will sync Mail, Calendar, Contacts. Remove one, add the other, see how it goes.

Hey Freitasm

Mainly the concern is when I set up the recurring events at Google Calendar, but some of the days on the hours need to be adjusted by up or down.

Then once it is done, the recurring event for that day just stay and then suddenly i will have another event with the correct time on the calendar...

I have also just try to delete that original recurring events on the phone, it doesn't work.. it stay there too.

i am sure there is an error some where from the apps or the Android 8 issues?

i hope Huawei will release an update on that soon?

Thanks

Jacky

Anyone know a good high quality glass screen protector for the huawei mate 10 pro? I had brought one off trade me which was a waste of time.
