I've had my 6.1 for nearly two weeks and it's still on the 1 April security patch and refuses to tell me anything different (I'm on 2degrees).
I've talked to Nokia support they've suggested clearing the cache of the Carrier Services app and taking out the SIM (with a period of time before checking). If that didn't work try again, but with a different SIM. I grabbed a Spark SIM today and tried again. Still no go.
Anyone else with a 6.1 have anything other than the 1 April patch?
Ah, same old song. Try removing SIM, clearing Carrier Services cache, and establishing VPN to different regions before checking.
I've done all that except the VPN thing. I'll get onto that.
Edit: Tried TunnelBear and still no updates. I'm getting annoyed.
So I've done a factory reset and re-initialised my phone without a SIM in it. On startup checking for updates didn't do anything, neither when I did it from Settings.
I quickly installed TunnelBear again before all my apps came down the wire and connected to the US and now I'm finally getting the June patch downloaded.
I hope I don't have to reset my phone every month :(
Anyone using the 7 plus? how is your experience with it?
Really liked the Nokia 7 Plus.

I love it too... I can live with it (normal usage, including GPS) and without charing it for 2 days. The beauty of Android one is very light weight - and all you need just a good launcher. I used the Microsoft one.
I used to own Huawei P9 Plus and have to say quality of pictures is better than Nokia 7 Plus - but with the price tag of Nokia 7 plus, no complain at all.

It is a personal choice really - I have been using it for it a long while and has built up my productivity / efficiency. Nothing wrong with the one come with the phone.
Put it that way, I would rather than having a simple OS then build on top of it, rather than others that come with heaps of stuff that I don't need.
