I have a Huawei Nova 3i here... Just installed Spotify and I am using it with a Bose QC35... No strange noises or sounds.

I've got a 3i and had the same thing.

Turns out there is a feature called 'Huawei Histen Sound Effects" that put my audio into some sort of weird 3D audio mode that matches what you've described. Plug in some headphones and look under the 'sound' settings.

I saw that but it is not enabled for Bluetooth headphones. I will try again with a wired headset.

It does that all the time regardless headphones are plugged in or listening through bluetooth. I have a feeling this could be a bug. I'll probably return it and have it repaired. :)

The Nova 3 comes with a case in the box, but it is just a basic clear TPE material. High-speed Performance

Has anyone got the EMUI 9 update yet? I am on the Nova 3 (not i) PAR-LX9 and still on EMUI 8.2.0 Security Patch 1 October 2018

The weird thing is I got an update in February, but had a hardware issue with the phone and had to send it back. The motherboard was replaced, now no update...

Finally got the update to EMUI 9. I had to install it through the HiCare app.

Mine updated itself yesterday with no problems.

Not sure I would know it had changed though! 

Anyone point out any real advantage?
