My eBay order shipped from Australia on the 5th and arrived today on the 7th.
Surprised there were no holdups at customs or taxes/duty to be paid (I certainly didn't pay for any GST at the eBay end).

Very satisfied with my Pixel 5 after coming from a 2XL. Google have made the transfer process from an old device to a new one so much easier than it used to be

Wow that was pretty quick. Did you know what postal company did they use when you tried tracking your item? DS is using Australia Post. Current status is "on its way" since 4th Jan.

I cancelled my DS order after months of delays they weren't going to ship until at least 15 Feb.
Not sure who DS use for shipping, but for that free SIM card they sent me, it went by standard post by the looks of it.

I ordered mine off eBay and that was sent by DHL

Did they email you that your item was gonna be delayed? i'm just wondering if it was a stock issue as I got an email that the phone has been dispatched 4 days after i ordered it last week.

I spoke to Vodafone the other day and while diagnosing a problem with one of my connections, they mentioned trying to add the VoLTE addon to my plan to see if something worked. Does this mean Vodafone might be bringing VoLTE to other not yet supported phones I wonder? IE Google Pixels?

(My problem connection had nothing to do with a Pixel BTW).

I haven't tried as 5g is very limited in Wellington on Vodafone.

Do you mind sharing the shop on eBay where you got Pixel 5 from?

Thank you

Yeah sure thing, link below. It was also free shipping, but maybe that cost was included as part of the price of the phone.
The seller say they're not responsible for any tax or import duties, so perhaps I just got super lucky.

I just remembered I still have the free Kogan Mobile SIM card that shipped first with my DS order.
Kogan uses the Vodafone network and according to the Kogan website they have access to 5G.

I popped the card in my Pixel 5 but only getting LTE.

I live in Newtown and work on Willis St in the CBD, both areas should apparently have 5G coverage.
Has anyone else got 5G working?

im in the same boat, i went to Westfield New Market Store, to have a chat to the vodafone guy, he swapped a new SIM and still got LTE Only on the new SIM

what he suggested was to ring Tech Support, or try simcard in a iphone 12 or S20+ in a 5G area to rule out anything that needs to be enabled in account level

I believe it's the hardware/band. My wife is on the same network, she's using iphone 12 and she gets 5g just fine without configuring anything. I'm also having issues with connecting to bluetooth for my car. It can pair and connect just fine the first time but won't the 2nd time around. Apart from those issues I'm happy with my pixel. I'm adjusting slowly with the screen size as I'm coming from Samsung note 8.

enable developer options and change the AVRCP version

i dont think its related to the band, because users with the 765G chipset in other phones are getting 5G in NZ, i think something needs to be enabled, at the account level, or the device is just being blocked. i havent had time to put some time asisde to try get intouch with vodafone tech support,
