I am currently in the US and it seems like the 16gb GSM HSPA+ version is available through various websites.

If I were going to buy one to bring back, I assume it is this version and not the Verizon 32gb CDMA model I want?

Also, has anyone tried the galaxy nexus on 2degrees? If I were to get one, would I need to change providers to Vodafone?

Thanks for your help!

Joe

I'm on 2degrees with the Galaxy Nexus and it works fine.

I used to use the built in countdown timer all the time for example when cooking but there's nothing built in, in vanilla ICS

Download the 'Kitchen Timer' app (the one with a digital clock showing 10.15 on the icon). I use it all the time when cooking. It has a loud rooster crow which can be heard anywhere in our house. You turn if off by pulling down the notification bar. A very simple effective timer app.

Just a quick one guys.. With the ICS running on the SGS2 its really hard to say the Nexus is better if your thinking if upgrading and you have a SGS2. So i would recommend updating to ICS when its available (probably withn the next month) and see how you go with it because of the SGS2 GPU being faster etc.. I do think the 720p screen is awesome though.

Just my thoughts.

Was contemplating upgrading from my Sensation, but I think I'll wait a few months until the price drops a bit, and a lot of the teething problems that people are experiencing, are fixed up.

Saw lokhor's one though, looks freakin sexy, would definitely love to have one!

Anyone else notice that sometimes you have to reboot your phone after downloading a widget from the market before you can see it in the widget section of the app drawer? No, just me? ;)

Some interesting stuff appearing regarding Nexus firmware builds. Seems not all GN's are equal, some will get updates directly form Google, others may be dependent on Samsung to get an update. Sort of ruins the "vanilla" Android experience maybe? Or at least result in delays getting updates.

Seems to be easy enough to reflash as per this discussion

I'm interested to know what versions are floating around NZ and has anyone got the 4.02 or 4.03 update yet. You can get GN Official Update Checker from the market or check build.prop file in \system.

I've got yakjuzs running 4.01. Think I'll just wait a bit and see what develops.

Im running yakju build, still version 4.0.1 and mine came from clove. I see there are a few build variants. Im just going to wait - everything seems to work fine so not stressed about updates.
