No what if 300 people put their name and mere 50 bought the phone? That kinda gives a bad impression on geekzone.

Then they sell 50 phones? Shows that 300 people were interested enough in the phone without ever touching one to send their name fowards. It was not a preorder, was never advertised as such. If they wanted committed sales at the time then they would have taken a deposit or something.

kiwijunglist: I've been offered code but not sure how to use it. Wandering to buy 64gb grsphite on contract.

The code is only to buy outright online.

Try going to http://email.catchmail.co.nz/t/r-l-zthhtky-dtklpzw-y/

(That is the hyperlink I got with my first email from 2 degrees)

Edit: As above, that is for outright purchase only.

aidancopps: I've been holding out redeeming the code until I can see the phone in person (bit undecided on the size compared to my Nexus 4). Does anyone know if any of the Noel Leeming or 2Degrees stores have any display models?

What town are you in? I have a working version in Auckland if you're nearby.

So after a few more issues with getting the package delivered, it got delivered to home when I requested it get delivered to work, the person that said they would be home all day decided to go out and of course the courier delivered it then, wasn't at the post shop yet when I went to go pick it up, but I finally have my phone.

Thanks again to Huawei, 2degrees and Geekzone for making the deal possible.

Thanks for the offers guys, I found a demo model at the 2Degrees store on Customhouse Quay in Wellington. Although it was a fair amount bigger than my Nexus 4 it wasn't too big and the weight was perfect. Have used my code and eagerly waiting the shipment email though it looks like it's on backorder now.

A 1:6 conversation ratio from lead to sale is pretty damn good actually. I doubt 2D will be at all upset with the number of phones sold and plans upgraded.

Was really hoping there would be a store in Auckland CBD with a floor model to play with, before I drop some cash.

Went to Noel Leemings, 2D (bottom of Queen street) and Vodafone next to NL, but none of them have one.

Read (and trust) the reviews and the comments on this forum.

I have owned many phones and talk to many users and can honestly agree with most reviews which say that this is the best Nexus ever and the best value premium phone on the market at the moment.

2degrees online store is now out of stock of the 6P. Spoke to their sales team and they reckon the new batch will come on the 7th of December.

I wouldnt worry about losing too much money. You can sell it for what its worth give or take $50-$100 or so.

Oops double post.

Might as well use this post to announce that I have a code to give away.

You must of been a member before this deal was announced.

I will PM the "Winner" on Wed night.

PM me why you want the 6P, and what phone you are upgrading from :P

Sending my device back to 2degrees. Was going through photos I took straight out of the box and realised there's a black dot on them all. When I fire up the camera and focus on anything a light colour (ie blue sky) there's a black dot in the same place. Seems like something stuck on the lens underneath the glass cover.
