What is the difference between the two devices? Do you miss the Note 8?

Wife and I have Note 8s coming up two years old and due for renewal. Top spec Samsung phones have becomes way too expensive, so just to spite Samsung I am looking elsewhere.

I do find my Note 8 quite a nice phone, however it does brain fart occasionally. We both still get about 1 day battery life out of it, and the camera is really good.

I am considering P30 or Pixel 3 as replacement phones.

2 Degrees Note 8 received June 2019 security update last Friday first update since April 2019 security update so presumed on 3 monthly cycle. Then this morning received July update so not sure what is going on there so must be just delayed. Also does anybody know how to get dark theme in Samsung Music app as not showing up in app in settings on note 8 but on Samsung tablet does show in settings both updated to same version yesterday.

2 degrees note 8 just got august 1st security patch update looks like samsung got their act together and very prompt with updates now.
