Linux:
stateless: I've been told the Exynos (N960F/DS) has better reception in AU/NZ vs the Snapdragon version (N9600).

Can anyone confirm?

@stateless Look at what bands they both support but take notice more of the band numbers for LTE / 4G support

700Mhz LTE in the US is very different to the 700Mhz LTE used around the rest of the world band 28

I ordered a N9600 from Expert Infotech and they sent me a N960F/DS. Their excuse was the N960F/DS had better reception in NZ. As you say the bands seem to be the same, so I doubt their excuse.

I also posted here, with a bit more discussion.

So what is the actual issue you are having?

The Exynos version for use in NZ is by far the best option. Also you will get better battery life and performance.

Yes, and turned on by default. Took me a while to find the setting to turn it off!

I like the new wide toggle on the selfie cam.

I like to have a tiuch sound, which i have the volume on the lowest for. But its the new sound i dont like. Sounds wacked. It sounds exactly like the calling waiting tone for facebook call.

Not that is immediately evident.

Now that you mention it though, when I was using boost mobile in Sydney last week, I had the volte icon appearing next to 4g, so it must be setup if that helps?

Sorry, Zip, zero, nada. I had a hunt around under connections where Google said it might be, but no dice. I found a SIM status page which said that the mobile voice network type is LTE for whatever that is worth.

Given that it switched on automatically on Boost, I'm guessing 2degrees still aren't supporting it yet?
