Krishant007: i called NL up yesterday and asked them about it. They said they had no idea when they would be receiving it, they said it is launching tomorrow indeed. But they asked me to give them a call back around 2pm today to check again.

Just went on Telecom online chat and asked why HTC One still shows coming soon.

Got told there is been slight delay, should be available later this week ...........

I have just read Brad's first Telecomtech review of the One. Sounds promising but I am massively disappointed by the '3 dot menu' issue that blighted the One X last year has re-emerged on the One. Unless there is a way of toggling the hardware button use, as was introduced by firmware update on the HOX?
I must confess, this menu was one of my pet peeves on the HOX when I first got it.

HTC also have some responsibility here too. But over at Xda most expect it to be fixed.

don't panic guys the world is not at an end regardless of what expectations you have. Most of us should know by now that launches very rarely go to plan.

Telecom NZ tweeted "Sory folks, we wont be launching the HTC One today. You'll be the first to know when it will be available. Its not too far away! ^VG"

So they didn't know this yesterday?

I was at JB Queen St, Auck, when they opened at 9.00 am. They had five, I bought their first one. $1,049 pushed down from $1,099 label on the box. I might have got it a bit cheaper if I had walked around town but I was getting sick of all the uncertainty so just bought it. I though it was an OK price.

Have just taken it out of the box and learning how to use it. Next trick is to get all my stuff transferred over from my S2 which I will do at home tonight.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

I am just wondering what the hell is the delay all about, they know they are getting this phone over a month ago... what can this delay be due to, they just have to get the delivery, probably install some apps on to the phone and deliver it to the stores...  No wonder they have to get rid of people in Telecom, the people who manage these things are useless, prob the first person that needs to go...

Checked out their Twitter to see if any more info - nup.

Though was this for the guys stressing about the 4g:
"Hi, we will enable 4G in HTC One when our 4G network launches in Oct. Price is lower because we're offering a good deal!"
