Mine hasn't got the updates after just doing a check. Apparently android 10 is the final version update for the note 9, as the note 8 isn't getting android 10. This is terrible considering the high price of this device. When the note was released, Android 9 was released only a few months later, so it was only on android 8 for a couple of months before 9 was installed. The notes seem to only get one full android update, and then a year of security updates to this. If you compare this to iphones, they will get new ios version for about 5 years, and the retail price for both notes and iphones are similar. The iphone 6s which is 4-5 years old is still getting the latest version of ios, and apple still release patches occasionally for very old devices.

Looks like none of the official NZ channels have it available OTA yet, is yours a parallel import or flash job @Buster?

Also note my model is from Singapore and dual sim, but to my surprise the VoLTE on Vodafone is fully functional now, very cool.

Yes. Parallel imported. United Arab Emirates gets a mention in the spec. Still the update won't be far away for Spark/Vodafone I expect.

According to Samsung's press release in the S10 thread, we should expect it in February, but they seem to be moving at a reasonable pace, so maybe even sooner.

I have had that icon on my phone for a few months. I initially wondered with it meant when it suddenly appeared.

I'm not bothered about when I get Android 10, I would just like a security patch newer than Nov 1st. Note 10, S10 & S9 are all on January 1st.

Unlocked Note 9, Mobile carrier Spark. Checking every day.... nada.

@catspyjamas security updates are not related to the carriers SIM card in use!

If it is the same as last year, it won't happen until they release the Android 10 update. Which should be before the end of Feb hopefully.
