networkn: Or a hardware fault, perhaps with a charger or something, something missing from the box, which wasn't noticed earlier.

Isn't that a manufacture issue with HTC rather than telecom, Vodafone doesn't have a problem launching today... And the reason behind that is?????

So let me get this right, you want Telecom to send out potentially faulty units? You think they will do that ?

I think you need some perspective. It's a phone. I understand it's frustrating, for me too, but is anyone doing to die?

They probably haven't finished installing their Telecom bloatware.

Very happy with getting my unbranded One for $860, especially considering that it's on the truck being delivered today - I ordered less than a week ago.

They wouldn't delay unless they had a reason.

No ones gonna die, but it's a let down to the company and there accountablility... Also customers being let down after put there money down for pre-order and expect the device to be available on the 7th May, only to find out on the day that it's delayed.

Thanks, got the big parts coming up over the next week.

There are the usual shortcuts for Your Telecom etc. But none of bloat like most carriers like to add.
Also freitasm has one of the retail box ones and they are indentical.

Disabling the 4G capabilities would be more likely to delay the device than the addition of Telecom software? Something VF didn't have to do.

So have you cancelled you order then since it's such a problem for you? Didn't think so.
I can't see it even registering on most peoples radar, and a week from now everyone will have forgotten about it.

I can't seem to find the details on 2Degrees site but will either the Telecom or Vodafone version of the One work on the 2Degrees network?

Also, does anyone know if any of these being released today/this-week in black?

The two variants reported on here, would both be 2Degrees compatible and would also fall back to EDGE where necessary.

As you see, some of the people on the forum have gone and bought from JB or Vodafone. tells you that telecom have loss customers, but I guess they'll never lose you coz you seem to be licking them no matter how they stuff up...

That's overly simplistic. People would be buying from VF and JB anyway and a lot of people will still hold out for Telecom since it is cheaper.
