While promotional stocks last, customers will be able to get the Samsung GALAXY S III FREE on the Smart Data 90 plan (RRP $1049)*. The first phones go on sale from 12:01am on Thursday 31 May at the Queen Street, Auckland and Riccarton Mall, Christchurch Vodafone stores. (emphasis added by me)

From the link above, always good to read those before posting :)

Yeah it has Free on  $90 plan, then free on a 120 plan in the disclaimer...

And the link on the thread doesn't work?
Might be still updating it

Might be good for people who like plans, so in order of price:
2Degrees @ WS $949 + $39 pay monthly = $1885 for 220 min, 2500 txt, 1.1GB Data, no contract
Vodafone @ 24 month contract @ $90(right?) = $2160 for 200 min, 2500 txt, 1GB data, 1 best mate
Telecom @ 24 month contract @120 = $2880 for 400 min, 300 txt, 2GB data

I'm sticking with Warehouse Stationery for now, converted my work voda number to 2Deg, however will keep the One-X on Telecom, for now

@ Paul, try the bottom of that link, i think he read rather well :):

...

Might be a typo

@Motorwayne, go the cheaper option $949, then flash it with a Tcom or Voda rom, when they are leaked next week...if you wanted to that is.  Or just use it as is, my europe GS2 works fine

Why would you need to flash it with a telco's rom? They should be all but the same. Modem MIGHT be different but I'd seriously doubt it.

Seems like the $90 24 month contract is a special deal for midnight launches - otherwise it is free on $120? That's what my understanding of it is

Cheaper off-contract phone + prepay or 2degrees seems like the best deal as vinnie hinted at

Yeah you wouldn't, only thing would be the TWorld/Telecom icons/startup screen

but I'm sure 99% of the world can live without those

works out quite expesive if you not going use the alocated amounts that come with it ... might have to wait a few weeks  after launch, might start seeing sum deals come threw  ,after the intial buying frenzy passes .

I believe Telecom's first shipment of phones is light on numbers for the Blue S3 or maybe no one ordering white.
Anyone know if Warehouse stationary have good stocks
