GSIII: On the JB hifi site it advertises the SGSIII as having a key feature:

"LTE - Faster download time than current 3G networks. And it’s only going to get faster and faster"

...isn't that only in the US version???!

Probably added by them without checking.

Could it relate to Telecom and 4G?

Oh how i do hope the NZ release of this phone has NFC.

Yeah I'd point to copy-paste from another site also

Pretty sure the NZ release will have NFC. Seeing that the NZ site advertises S-Beam, which uses NFC to pair, then Wifi direct to swap files, or whatever else S-Beam does

The wait is killing me!

Wow I am not happy with VF right now! New plans are up, only appear to be offering WHITE, and also you get free phone with a datasmart $90 plan but if you go with a $100 Smart plan you get a pathethic $250 off the phone, which is terrible compared to Telecom who will do a phone for $199 with their $100 non datasmart plans!

I am wondering if it's possible to sign to the 24 month $90 and then "upgrade in term" to the $100 plan?

Did anyone else see on the Vodafone preorder under 'Important things to know about the Samsung Galaxy S III' that no Marble Blue are available at launch?

  • Due to supply constraints, at launch only Marble White 16GB is available in NZ across all carriers. If you would like a pebble blue Samsung GALAXY S III please register your interest on our coming soon page.

Poor silly iPhone users living in the dark ages. Mind you you I have a white HOX so I can't talk.

If VF would just credit my account instead of insisting on using hardware subsidy, I could get a blue from elsewhere. :(

Do we know if WHS orders for blue are secure?

All comments are my own opinion, and not that of my employer unless explicitly stated.

My guess would be that if one retailer is not getting Blue, none are.
There were rumours that Samsung was going to have major supply issues, looks like it may happen.
Bad for Samsung, all their retail/telco partners will be rightly pissed with them.

If it's a big wait for a Blue, I shall be royally unhappy. It would be a massive fail for Samsung. They can't seriously have underestimated or produced enough blues surely.

It will be hugely disappointing. I'm selling my S2 this Sunday and I was happy to use a old work phone for few days. If I don't get my blue s3 when it is released it is going to be a huge pain. I suspect WHS orders are secure as their site says while stocks last. So surely they are only issuing pre orders for stock they have. I have emailed them for clarification

Just been in to WHS Downtown in Auckland to pre-order my blue SGS3 Cool.

I quizzed the bloke in the shop as to their stock of blue phones. He assured me they had enough to go around. He was adamant because "they had an agreement with 2D to supply blue phones" were his words.

He was surprised to learn that Telecom, Vodafone, Harvey Norman, etc were now only offering white phones for sale and had removed the blue option from their website.

Well excited now that I have pre-ordered. Will be making the gargantuam leap from SGS1 to SGS3. Won't be too impressed if they ring me next week to tell me they haven't got enough blue in stock and I have to wait another couple of weeks. Grrrr.

Downtown have had eight pre-orders in total => seven for blue and one for white (a lady).

Happy days.....bring on the 31st.
