bignicko: They did at least offer me the choice of waiting, taking a white one on Thursday, or getting a full refund.

I chose none of the above.

So what did you 'choose' then?

Oh well at least they have recalled now and not just released it hoping no one would know so big up's for Samsung on that.

I'm also going to wait until the initial fervor has dissipated and read the feedback of out crash test dummies ;)

If there are any issues I'll hang on to my S2 as apart from keeping up with the Jones's I'm more than happy with it.

Expectations drive us all mad huh

I'm pretty sure it isn't on purpose and one never knows what glitches happen, best laid plans and all that.

Unfortunately I am not in a position to be able to afford to upgrade my S2 at this stage but if i were I think i would be choosing white over blue anyway, i am surprised how strong peoples preferences are, hardware first cosmetics second in my opinion!!

If it would help the cause I am happy to pimp a white S3 and sing its praise should any telcos be reading and feel like lending me one :P

If I was asked again i would 'choose' blue still. I try not to mix past and present/future tense in the same rant ;)

Man I'm selling my phone to my friend this next week and now my plan is interrupted. May be I put my sim card in a work phone for now hahahah and then get a spare work phone for the work calls :) may be I should negotiate with my friends to wait a couple more weeks.

I have it on very good authority that the NZ supplies of the blue one are indeed null, and certain retails chains in the country only have small allocations of the white ones thus far....
