Samsung Galaxy S III - the latest addition to the Touch2Pay with Snapper Mobile family.
Thursday 31st May 2012
Wellington, New Zealand
New Zealand-based contactless payments and ticketing company Snapper announces today that it has extended support for Snapper Mobile to Samsung’s flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S III.
Pay for everyday items with your mobile.
“We are very pleased with the response to the launch of Touch2Pay with Snapper Mobile in partnership with 2degrees. Customers love the convenience of being able to pay for everyday things with their mobile, and we look forward to seeing even more Touch2Pay with Snapper Mobile handsets coming to market this year” says Snapper CEO Miki Szikszai.
The launch of the Samsung Galaxy S III has been eagerly anticipated: customers will get the best possible experience with this phone from 2degrees and Snapper.
Buy a Samsung Galaxy S III Touch2Pay smartphone from a 2degrees store in Wellington, download the free Snapper Mobile app from Google Play and you’ll be able to start paying for everyday items with your mobile.
Free weekends.
As an added bonus, customers that purchase a Touch2Pay smartphone from a Wellington 2degrees store before 31st July will also receive free weekend travel on GO Wellington and Valley Flyer bus services and 1GB of free mobile broadband zone data to use every weekend until the end of 2012.
“We are really looking forward to making Touch2Pay with Snapper Mobile available to more NFC-standards compliant smartphones as they become available,” Szikszai said.

motorwayne: Who has the best buy now price at the moment, if O wanted to get another one (not on a plan)
I'm not a complete idiot, I still have some parts missing.

I have just bought mine outright for $944 from JB Hifi New Lynn, they are offering 18mths interest free as an option also
I didn't ask exactly how many they had in stock but there was definitely no shortage
Have barely spent 5minutes playing with the phone but my S2 just feels old and obsolete by comparison
For those concerned about the white version, in real life its actually quite a classy looking device, I have large hands but i have to say it fits like a glove in one's palm, far more ergonomic design than the S2
Wade:I rang my brother to voice my distaste at having to wait until possibily the 7th june for the xt version, I paid $890 outright for it, he said 'gimme a second' and told me that he's doing a credit and only charging me $810... somewhat happier i guess but i want this phone today :(motorwayne: Who has the best buy now price at the moment, if O wanted to get another one (not on a plan)
