A second transaction appeared on my CC today after I purchased some kitchen supplies:

GOOGLE *SERVICES g.co/helppay#GB $2.00 Pending

No other purchases today.

The online vendor i used uses https://flo2cash.com/nz/ . I used CC for payment.

I submitted an online complaint to Google, and within 10 minutes the transaction no longer appears.

Perhaps coincidental or not.

Weird.

Are you sure it was not just a hold of $2 which would be released after 5 business days, They do this to confirm CC numbers are valid

Indeed it could be, I did make a paypal payment 2 days ago (no other google related payments in the last few weeks). It's just that I haven't noticed this before.

Sounds like a preauth to test the card. When you see a figure on your credit card online it's not a "final" amount, merely the initial data posted to your account. This is then followed up by a final transaction.

With a preauth or test transaction it'll be set to automatically expire. There is no way Google could remove this from your credit card - it's just total coincidence this disappeared just after contacting them.

Yes it must have been entirely coincidental as today's transaction did not bypass google services I was told.
