This week we celebrate two years of Geekzone. Quite a lot of work, but well worth it. Quite a few users (more than 10,000) have registered, more than 25 million pages served. The site allowed me to meet lots of people, and it has increased my view of the technology world.
A few times you asked why Geekzone and not PDAZone? Although our focus is on mobile technologies, there are times that we discuss other technologies and tools. It's like fine tuning an engine, really. It depends on what our users give back to us as comments, link back, etc.
I'm sure and proud that in these two years we had the scoop in quite a few news. You had the chance to read it here first, and that's great. Thanks to our timezone (Geekzone is based in New Zealand) we have the chance to have early access to press releases - and we also spend some time looking for them.
This week we also celebrate the launch of Geekmac, a new website that will follow the same formula. Like Geekzone, we try to work to publish only news, not rumours. This is part of our philosophy: bringing you fresh content, (almost) every day.
PS: We have heard from a couple of manufacturers, so wait for some giveaways on Geekmac sometime soon.
