Today I presented my resignation to my employer, Unisys. I have been with Unisys, first in Brazil and then in New Zealand for more than 16 years. It is a good time to move on - but hard decision to make. The folks around here are nice and fun to work with.
From end of May I am planning to work full time (or most of the time) on Geekzone, and help my wife develop her business even more. Currently she is the person behind mywedding.co.nz, a fully database base-driven wedding web site, including interactive features like photo album, blog, etc (I've done all the coding behind the scenes).
I'll also be working on a blog feature that will be available for free to Geekzone users. Of course I also plan to be available for some contract work in the mobility area, including projects covering mobile devices deployment, management, etc - contact me if you are interested.
My last projects with Unisys will be a short term assignment in Australia, working on a .NET Compact Framework deployment, including mobile devices standardisation, and then speaking about mobility, with Vodafone NZ in the Unisys Client Experience and Technology Update Forum, in Queenstown.
