Imation Disc Stakka for Microsoft MSDN subscribers
This is a nifty geek toy: the Imation Disc Stakka is an automated carousel that stores, protects and retrieves 12 cm optical discs including data CDs, DVDs, music and game discs. Each Disc Stakka unit holds up to 100 discs and connects to a PC via USB for power and data (yes, no need for external power source). You can stack units up to five high to create a tower that holds up to 500 discs without requiring additional cabling or desk space.

Disc Stakka comes bundled with the OpdiTracker content management software, which includes a database and search engine. Need a file? OpdiTracker delivers the right disc in seconds! You can browse the discs and files stored in the OpdiTracker database "virtually online" in the same way as you browse the folders and files stored on your computer's drives.

What's cool about it? MSDN disc compatibility:

"Designed specifically for MSDN developers, this solution includes an automated process for exporting disc information from your MSDN subscription index into the OpdiTracker database. Once the MSDN disc details are stored in OpdiTracker, simply insert your MSDN discs into Disc Stakka to complete their indexing and archiving. You can then browse your MSDN discs for quick and easy access to any disc. No more digging through boxes or shuffling through filing cabinets!"

Ok, that's what I "think" I need then. It is around NZ$240 (US$160) here.
