PocketPC Mark benchmarks the processor float and integer performance, the memory bus bandwith, file system, storage cards, graphics etc. Each benchmark consists of several smaller benchmarks to make the test more reliable. At the end of each benchmark, the result will be shown and compared to typical benchmark results from other devices.

Just found this reference, and users of the QTEK 1010 (a.k.a XDA) might try it: a ROM update to version 3.16.13 (09 Jan 03) and a radio stack update too! Update: The files were removed because of performance problems.

O2 plans media distribution model on mobile GPRS networks

mmO2 announced that it is to trial the world's first 'music over mobile' service using existing mobile data (GPRS or 2.5G) networks. The O2 music service will enable customers to select, retrieve and store the latest chart hits via their GPRS-enabled mobile handset onto a specially designed 'digital music player' - and start listening in around 12 seconds.
