Heh, and I even beat the admin to the response on that one. :)

Well, that's my minor bout of silliness for the day. :-)

The LG interfaces with the lightsurf not the MMS platform.

There is a known issue with a batch of LG phones and photo messaging.
The problem is currently being worked on jointly by Xtra, Lightsurf & Telecom Mobile.
There is no ETA for the fix.

LGs shipping now should not have the problem.

Dont forget to read your terms and conditions before making any wild claims to/about anyone. (But regardless of the Ts & Cs, the CGA still applies).

I will post an update as soon as I hear anything, although if anyone hears about it before i do, feel free to post what you know.

I don't understand sorry. I read my complete phone guide and it said nothing about messaging not working? It also didnt say anything about screen burn when charging your phone...but thats a whole different story lol

thanks to everyone's responses.

also, i was given an ETA. ..and was told without a doubt it would be fixed by the 2nd week of January.

If it's going to take a lot longer than that, I do have an extended warranty on the phone..should it cover this problem for a return?

Telecoms mobile terms and conditions refer to liability for unavailable services.

Start a thread and tell us about it. (Please)

Who said that?

The phone itself is unlikely to have a problem (i.e. it more than likely still performs to expectation), its the Telecom network, and how it interacts with that batch of phones that is the issue... so, i would say warranty is out, but Consumer Guarantees Act is still probably in effect for this problem.

Problem has been solved. If you still have issues, try the following:

Go - Menu / settings / Security (password the last 4 digits of the telephone number) / picture message / update picture message profile / ok / yes

hi ther had the same problem with my LG phone
do the following to activate picture messaging:
menu
settings
security
lock code is the last 4 nubmers of your cell phone
press ok
go to update picture messages
press ok
update profile - yes
and you are ready to go
if anybody could tell me how to add text to the picture emssage that would be fantastic
think it is pretty stink that the telecom people don't set this up for you before you leave the shop with your phone ihad to ring 123 to find out
hope that helps someone

After entering the "To" details you end up in a msg preview screen just scroll down to the field that looks like a note pad with [No Message] next to it then hit the "OK" key, from there you can add up to 256 characters.
