Unfortunately that doesn't seem to have happened with Apple. This means that people have to look at ad hoc solutions such as changing the country to one where the timezone is GMT+13 or unofficial patches. While this can be done on an individual PC - multiple PC's start getting all the more painful. Apples own knowledgebase (found from macrumours) tells us the fix is to manually push the clock forward which has potential issues with calendar/appointment applications. According to a few at Macrumours, it appears that Apple may release in the next OS rollout - but this doesn't really cut it, daylight saving is here now, and keep in mind that these are just rumors'.
What is rather interesting is that MacNN reports that American and Australia daylight saving patches have been released, however New Zealand appears to be missed out.
Apple has issued other timeshift patches well in advance of deadlines, such as one that corrected for an American schedule change earlier in the year. Anecdotes suggest however that New Zealand is not the only Pacific country to have had troubles, since while western Australia received a patch for its change, the upgrade was reportedly badly publicized and may not have been distributed through Software Update.
Instead people have to resort to either pushing the timezones around, or running an unofficial patch. I know New Zealand is not a huge market, but this is something fundamentally simple that needed to be released before daylight saving kicked in. Most disappointing.
