Just spoke to your support about my incorrect number transfer. Trying to explain my problem and asking some questions, a support person (her name is Elaine(?) ) was completely unprofessional, she interrupted me in a crude manner in the middle of my question saying that I have to read the terms and conditions.

I was expecting reasonable support from 2degrees, but so far your support was terrible. Be polite to your clients is a norm in a help desk, is not it?

My problem is:
I seem to lost the my 2degrees phone number, I’ve chosen it via your website, and lost it after I transferred my Vodafone number over to 2degrees.

What happened with my 2degrees phone number (it took me 3 days to find it) when I transferred my Vodafone number?

Why did you transfer your Vodafone number to 2d if you wanted to keep your 2d number?

Surely you realise that your 2d number has now been replaced by your original Vodafone number. After all, that's the whole point of the transfer!

One mobile phone cannot have 2 numbers unless you have a dual SIM arrangement in your phone.

What kind of question is that? People can't ask for clarification without being accused of something?

You can only have one number on a SIM card. You had a 2degress number, than your ported your Vodafone number over the same SIM card?

If that's what you done, sorry, but it's your fault.

It NOTHING to do with a SIM card. Why I CANNOT keep 2 numbers? Why NOT to have 2 numbers?

says NOTHING that I'm going loose my 2d number.

I was expecting is:

my friend calls me to my Vodafone number -> Vodafone number ->* 2d number -> my phone

* - call forwarding/redirect/whatever

Why I should NOT expect this if there is NO information about loosing the number. This works for a landline, why NOT to expect for the mobile numbers? I'm not a geek, why I should know everything?

You can have 2 numbers but you will require 2 SIMs

Well, I am sorry you didnd't understand Number Portability BEFORE doing your transfer, but that's how it works:

On 2degrees you can reuse the SIM card (the same on Telecom these days). But a SIM card can only have one number assigned to it. If you port a number OVER your existing SIM card then the existing number is gone back to 2degrees.

The wording on this page should have given you an alert: "It doesn't take long to change your number, usually less than one business day."

Number porting means moving a number from one provider to another.

If you port a number you replace your existing number. You can't have two mobile numbers linked to a single SIM card.

If you had wanted to keep your old number you should have purchased a 2nd SIM and ported the Vodafone number to that.

This is also not the case for a landline. If you port a Telecom number to Telstraclear you only have a single Telecom number, you do not get a TelstraClear number as well.

And apologes may be? And/Or compensation?;) Don't you think its too late. BTW: I have both, which one are talking about? Why is back to 2d? If 2d can re-use the SIM card, why not to re-use with 2d number? Why we are talking about SIM card? Whats about 2d datacenter? Why it cannot save 2 numbers, like landline? Why it cannot redirect from one number to another, like landline?

Well, you don't want to understand and are not making it easy. That's how it works:

A phone uses a SIM card to tie the phone number to the mobile operator. Only one phone number can live on a SIM card at any time. It's not 2degrees, or Vodafone, or Telecom. IT'S HOW SIM CARDS WORK.

There's nothing to do with "2degress datacentres" or whatever you want - but 2degrees did nothing wrong in this case.

Its hard to believe that there is not any devices/whatever between two SIM cards. How about the logs?
