I recently signed up for MySky Hdi and at the time of the roginal call I was also offered a free 3 month trial of Multiroom.  Why not I thought, I probably wont continue it as I dont need 3 months but I will give it a try just in case I really like it.

Well the whole installation was no problem I had everything installed that weekend!  Perfect.

Multiroom was good but after a month and a half I have decided I wont continue it after the 3 motnh free period.

The problem started with my first bill that included all the new stuff, granted it was high as I had to pay the part periods for the Mysky however there was also a bill for $49 for Multiroom installation!  That was weird I thought so I gave them a call and spoke to a person who really seemed to have trouble understanding what my problem was.  How can there be a charge for a free trial, "well thats the installation cost you have to pay it", finally I gave up with her and her team leader is going to call me back to discuss.

I was never told of an installation fee and I find it a bit off that they can say a free trial but still try an charge an installation fee!

Anyone else have this problem?

Hello simian,
Yes I to thought I had gotten ripped off, but if you look very carefully at your statement it should become clear as to what they have put on your statement.
Yes it is sometimes daunting to see totals that are suppose to be free but what I think they do is, note down nearly every little detail their services have been actioned to do and your subscriptions, and the work the techie did or was suppose to do. Then they credit which ever was supposed to be credited. It looks complicated with the set up statement but persevere and the tally should be understood. Main thing overall is to understand what where and how you are getting billed, monthly billings are sometimes delayed in the actual statement as at printing. Usually you have to pay the installer onsite the install fee and they debit/credit as per your statement.SkyTV are not the enemy, they are but a test in this time of turmoil.......oops they cut me off
Really hope this helps

With mine, I was charged full fees the first month, then had credits for the next 3, so it all worked out in the end.
